There’s a sense of urgency in my life.
I have things I want to do and I’ve waited too long to start
them. This blog was one of the things I
put off doing, but here it is, a genesis of sorts. Hopefully other goals will
follow right along behind it. I want to
finish writing The Sixth Battle. I want
to manage our finances better. I want to
love my family better. I want to love
God more and look more like Christ. I
want to lose my fear of people. I want
to be more concerned about souls rather than being liked.
If I live the average life span God gives to humans, then I
was born with about 25,550 days. I’ve
already used 19,385 of them. Whether I receive
25,550 days from God, or more or less, one thing is sure: I don’t have as many days left as I have
used.
The urgency makes sense now.
Where are you in your day count?
What have you put off doing or starting?
Get your own donkey in gear and we can make this journey together.
Wow. That is thought provoking. Lord, help me number my days instead of my pennies.
